Become a volunteer
Volunteers are the heart of our community. They help people stay connected, supported and involved in community life. Their kindness and practical support make a real difference. Bilingual volunteers and people with strong cultural knowledge are especially valuable, given the diversity of the communities we support.
Students & interns
Completing a placement or looking for an internship? We partner with universities and TAFEs across Sydney to support students across a range of fields, including social work, community services, human services, settlement, family work, financial capability and community development.
We offer beneficial partnerships through all our programs.
Our Special Tutorial Assistance Program joins with Western Sydney University and Australian Catholic University to offer student placement hours to Education students.
This provides a mutually beneficial relationship to the students as well as the refugee and migrant children who get homework assistance in five schools from the inner and outer west of Sydney.Many of our employees started as student placements in Settlement Services, Family Services, Tenancy Advocacy and Advice, as well as Dress for Work.
