Quality clothing and job readiness training for boys and men who've experienced setbacks, so they can take back control of their lives. We supply tailored suits, business attire, casual wear, trade wear and accessories, alongside one-on-one job readiness training to prepare clients for employment.

Your community organisation or employment provider contacts us on your behalf.
We arrange a time and place
Wherever possible, we come to you. Running sessions at the referring organisation's location means clients don't need to travel, so nothing gets in the way of showing up.
Fitting and training
Each client receives a personal consultation with a stylist, a suit including shoes and accessories, Training and mentoring is not a free service. It’s by referral from employment services and it’s a fee-service.

Two ways we work
Community referrals
For clients referred by a community organisation, school or program such as PCYC. This side of Dress for Work is free.
Employment provider referrals
For clients referred by an employment provider, such as Workforce Australia. This side operates as a fee for service package, which can include attire alongside mentoring or workshops depending on the agreement in place.
About our program
For our clients, a visit to Dress for Work is transformative. Every individual receives a personal consultation with a stylist, a new suit including shoes and accessories, and training to support their pathway to career success.
Our staff take the time to properly see each client. The suit a client leaves with is more than a garment, it offers dignity and confidence, and makes them far more likely to succeed on their path to a rewarding career.
Training and support
Job readiness training covers areas such as confidence, resumes, cover letters, first impressions, interview preparation, networking and applying for jobs. Referring organisations let us know which areas matter most for their clients, and we tailor each session accordingly.
We've also expanded to provide work and trade wear for clients who've found employment in labouring and trade roles.

How much does Dress for Work cost?
Community referrals are free. Employment provider referrals operate as a fee for service package, contact us for current pricing.
Can someone refer themselves?
No. Every client comes through a referral, either from a community organisation or an employment provider.
Do you offer mentoring?
The Hub is open to all women. It’s especially suited to women needing support with safety, stability or guidance during a difficult time, but you don’t need to disclose a specific circumstance to attend.
Is there an age limit?
No. We support boys and men of any age, including teenagers referred through schools or youth programs.
Where are you located?
Yes. Sessions are delivered in a culturally safe environment, with bilingual workers and access to language assistance where needed.
