123 Magic is an evidence-based model of parenting, based on positivity, understanding behaviour and motivation. This program has 3 workshops in total – it’s best to attend all 3! This program is suitable dor parents with children age 2-12 years old.
The skills learnt in this program have the goal of creating a loving, nurturing and supportive family atmosphere through the following principles:
- Foundations of brain psychology – what initiates response and stress
- Child development and implications for behaviour and parenting.
- Understanding how best to respond to difficult behaviours
- Behaviour management
- Strategies for emotional regulation
Learn knowledge and skills to assist with challenging behaviours, while strengthening your relationships with your children.
This program will be delivered by staff who are trained in this technique and have holistic and varied experience working with people with disabilities, families, youth, carers and diverse communities.
At the end of each session, there will be creative mindfulness activities that will help you to reflect on the course content as well as relieve stress and tension
Child-minding can be provided – this will be confirmed closer to the workshop dates.

- 7th of Aug Session 1: Foundations – The Brain + Your Child’s Brain
- 14th of Aug Session 2: Changing Patterns
- 21st of Aug Session 3: Self-Control
Please note that this workshop is for parents and carers of children who live/go to school in Strathfield, Homebush, Burwood and the surrounding Inner West, inclusive of Canterbury, Campsie and Canada Bay.
